The NP Big Band, born in 2008, is totally devoted to the music of the so-called “Swing Era”, the music of the great Big Bands of the ‘30s and ‘40s led by the Swing Legends such as Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller and the others Greats.
Because of its style and repertoire, the NP BB is nowadays one of the most important Swing Ensemble in Europe, as proved by the many and repeated participation to some among the most important Europe Swing Festivals (Como Swing Crash, Munich Rock That Swing, Lubiana Sweet Swing Festival, Cannes Balboa on the Promenade, Swing ‘n Milan, Torino Swing Festival, Herrang Dance Camp…)
The NP Big Band musicians are: Massimo Rapetti, Orlando Coccoglioniti, Grazia Favale and Enrico Oliveri, Trumpet; Denis Trapasso, Tony Carvelli, Chiara Pasquale and Ian Veronese, Trombone; Paolo Maffi and Roberto Trabona, Alto Sax; Paolo Piccardo, Tenor Sax; Alberto Oliveri, Clarinet, Antonio Maffezzoni, Baritone Sax; Luca Lamari, Piano; Marco Parodi, Guitar; Roberto Resaz, Double Bass; Luca Rigazio, Drums, Erika Celesti, Vocal.
