If you are a fan of jazz and audiophile sound quality, you are in for a treat.
Analogy Records has just released a live album by the legendary bassist John Patitucci that captures the magic of his trio with saxophonist Chris Potter and drummer Brian Blade.
The album, titled Three Pieces Of Glass, was recorded during their tour in Italy in the summer of 2021.
Patitucci, who has played and recorded with jazz giants such as Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and many others, says that the tour was an incredible experience with his two dear friends, who are some of the greatest musicians in the history of jazz music. The trio played in various venues across Italy, many of them outdoors, and brought their freedom, connection and shared influences to the stage.
The album is released on 3 reels and features ten tracks, including original compositions by Patitucci and Potter, as well as classics by Charlie Parker and Sonny Rollins.
The trio showcases their virtuosity, creativity and interplay on every tune, from the lyrical “And I Love Her” to the funky “Mali” to the swinging “Visa” and “Without a Song”.
If you want to get your hands on this rare and exquisite recording, you can order it from Analogy Record’s e-shop, available in Premium or Basic formats.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy some of the finest jazz music ever played by one of the most amazing trios ever assembled.
I hope you like it. 😊
